Welcome to Woerth Street Studio

Woerth Street Studio is a full-service decorative painting company based in New York City. We create all kinds of hand-painted finishes, both traditional and unusual, which can be applied to almost any surface. Each finish is custom made. Classic glazes are popular, although we also design dramatic commercial finishes. We are often asked to paint traditional trompe l'oeil, such as wood graining and marbling, as well as gilding in gold, silver and copper leaf. In the past 12 years, we have created hundreds of unique finishes.

Another skill is our ability to color match almost any surface, whether it's glaze, wood, stone, wallpaper, mural, fabric, tile or leather. So if a surface is damaged or needs to disappear into the background or match an adjacent finish, we can paint it and make it right, whether it's an entire wall or just a switch plate.

Our clients are general contractors, painting contractors, designers, architects and homeowners, mainly in Manhattan. Our clients often hire us to take care of all of their decorative work, so some great long-term partnerships and friendships have developed over the years.
