HAND-CRAFTED FINISHES We are skilled in a wide range of traditional and unusual finishes. Finishes can be applied to walls, ceilings, floors, trim and furniture. Every finish is custom made for each client.
Classic glazes: Strie, parchment, stipple, washes, stencils and stripes.
Dramatic glazes: Metallics, multi-layered effects, strong colors and patterns.
Trompe l'oeil: Lifelike renderings of wood and marble, usually matched to an actual material that is an existing part of the room's decor.
Textures: Venetian plaster, glazed papers and distressed surfaces.
Gilding: Walls, ceilings, moldings and objects leafed in gold, silver, copper or aluminum. Leaf can be glazed, distressed and/or varnished.
COLORMATCHING We are skilled at matching or mimicking the color, pattern and sheen of almost any surface, whether it is wood, stone, fabric, wallpaper, tile, or leather. There are generally two situations where colormatching is requested:
To Integrate We paint switchplates, outlets, security sensors and speaker covers to blend into their surrounding surfaces.
To repair In the case of physical damage, we can finish only part of a room to match an existing treatment. Depending on the situation, we can retouch damaged wood, stone, tile and murals. We are also frequently asked to review a home after an installation, retouching cosmetic damage.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT In addition to providing decorative finishes, we can also direct, supervise, and provide quality control of the base painters, leaving your time free for more pressing concerns.
